The Mid-State Dairy Goat Show to be held Saturday, May 4th

Where: The Paso Robles Event Center (formerly the “Mid-State Fairgrounds”) just SW of the junction of Highways 101 and 46 on 2198 Riverside Ave.

Showmanship: pre-entries and Friday night sign-up only!
ENTRY FEES: $6.00 per Doe or Buck per Show ($5.00 if more than 10 entries per show) $9.00 per Doe or Buck per Show late entry (post marked after Apry 27, 2019) PEN FEES: $8.00 per stall/pen. Fee does not include bedding. Shavings will be available for purchase or bring your own. You can pre-purchase shavings using the entry form. Sorry, our fairground does not allow straw for bedding. Pen fee includes cleanup after the show. Pre-paid pens will be assigned. Maps with pen assignments will be posted at the at the ends of the barns. Pens will be available after 5 p.m. on Friday, May 4th. Location of pens will be on a first come first serve basis.

Pen and Entry Fee payments must accompany the entry. Absolutely no refunds given!

Showmanship will be only available to those who send in their entries before May 1st or those who sign up at the show on Friday by 7 PM. No Saturday morning entries accepted for showmanship!

CHECK-IN: Friday, May 3rd, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. or Saturday, May 4th, 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. The fairgrounds close at 8pm Friday night. Lights go off at 9 pm. Contact Colleen Childers if you are going to be late. (805)610-6330

Note: The original registration certificate is required for all animals six months of age or older and MUST be shown to the Show Secretary before the start of the show. The original registration certificate or duplicate application stamped by the ADGA office is required for all animals under six months of age and this MUST be shown to the Show Secretary before the start of the show. No copies of the registration certificate or the stamped duplicate application, telegrams, faxes or phone calls will be accepted in lieu of the original certificate. Don’t forget your papers! Animals must be in place by 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 4, 2019 and will be released at the end of the show.

Please bring your own bedding this year or purchase it from us. You can pre-purchase it using the entry form ($9.00 per bale), or buy it once you get here. The fairgrounds allows only shavings for bedding. Please do not bring straw.

Feed: A small amount of alfalfa hay and shavings will be available for purchase at the show

Health Policy: All animals must be in apparent good health. Animals with visible abscesses or obvious contagious diseases such as soremouth, pink-eye, or ringworm will be asked to leave. Entries will not be refunded. Decisions made by the show committee are final. PLEASE EXAMINE YOUR STOCK BEFORE LEAVING HOME!
